This is the home of the SWL IR Remote control for Shortwave Receivers, Transceivers,
and Scanners. Control your Receiver, Transceiver, or Scanner with the SWL
IR Remote and a Universal TV Remote from the comfort of your easy chair.

The SWL IR Remote consists of a small control unit that connects to the computer
interface (REMOTE, CAT, Interface, or KEYPAD port) of your radio with an included
cable. It uses the built in computer control or keypad commands to control
your radio using a standard TV Universal Remote control. We have an optional
Universal Remote available (may vary from those shown), or you can use any Universal
Remote that can be programmed for a Sony TV. The remote needs to have Power,
digits (0-9), Volume (or VOL) +/-, Channel (or CH) +/-, Mute, Last (or Previous),
and Enter keys for complete control of the radio.

Remote works.
SWL IR Remote for Drake R8/A/B
– Directly enter frequencies, memories and control modes of the receiver with the
Universal Remote. This remote will also work with the optional Drake VHF Converter.
SWL IR Remote for ICOM Receivers and Transceivers
– This remote will operate ICOM Receivers and Transceivers that use the CI-V protocol,
and can be used as a basic R75 remote. See our FAQs page for information on
supported Transceivers.
SWL IR Remote for ICOM IC-R75
– The SWL IR Remote for the R75 is a comprehensive remote that permits control of
virtually all the front panel functions, and analog controls (including volume)
with the Universal Remote.
SWL IR Remote for JRC NRD-535
- Directly enter frequencies, memories and control modes of the receiver with the
Universal Remote.
SWL IR Remote for JRC NRD-545
- Directly enter frequencies, memories, control modes, and adjust analog controls
of the receiver with the Universal Remote. All front panel analog controls
(including volume) are operable from the Universal Remote. This remote will
also work with the Wideband converter (CHE-199) option.
SWL IR Remote for Kenwood R-5000
- Directly enter frequencies and control modes of the receiver with the Universal
Remote. The SWL IR Remote lets you operate the R-5000 without having to deal
with key bounce on the front panel keys. With the optional Level Converter
you can also control the R-5000 from your computer. This remote will also
operate the VHF Converter (VC-20) option.
SWL IR Remote for Lowe HF-150
- Directly enter frequencies, modes, memories, and overcome the lack of a keypad.
The SWL IR Remote connects to the KEYPAD port on the HF-150 and provides all the
functionality of the optional Lowe KPAD-1, or KPAD-2 and more from the Universal
Remote. Our optional Level Converter is functionally equivalent to the IF-150.
SWL IR Remote for Lowe HF-225
- Directly enter frequencies, and overcome the lack of a keypad. The SWL IR
Remote connects to the KEYPAD port on the HF-225 and provides all the functionality
of the optional Lowe KPAD-1 and more from the Universal Remote.
SWL IR Remote for Yaesu FRG-100
– Directly enter frequencies and control modes of the receiver with the Universal
Remote. Enter frequencies directly with the Universal Remote and overcome
the lack of a front panel keypad on the FRG-100.
SWL IR Remote for Yaesu FRG-8800
– Directly enter frequencies and control modes of the receiver with the Universal
Remote. This remote will also work with the VHF Converter (FRV-8800) option.
We have a Windows program for frequency logging, and control of the FRG-8800.
SWL IR Remote for Uniden Scanners
(BC780XLT, BC785D, BC796D, BC895XLT, BCT8, BC898T, and PRO-2052) - Control
scanning, searching, directly enter frequencies, directly select memory channels,
set search limits, store frequencies into memories, and mute/un-mute speaker.
