This is a basic control unit that uses some of the most common commands used in the ICOM CI-V interface. This remote control can be used on the R75 if you are just looking for basic control. All of the features of your particular radio may not operate with this version of our SWL IR Remote, and some of the commands from the remote may not be implemented in your radio. There is no problem if the command is not implemented in your radio. The SWL IR Remote LED indicates with a slow blink if the radio responds with a NAK and will continue operation. The unit will never hang up or get stuck. A NAK response usually indicates that the command is not implemented or the command parameters are out of range. If your radio?s frequency range ends at 30 MHz and you try to enter a frequency of 31 MHz the radio will NAK the command.
ICOM Receivers and Transceivers that will work with the SWL IR Remote: 703, 706, 706MkII, 706MkIIG, 707, 718, 725, 726, 728, 729, 735, 736, 737, 738, 7400, 746, 746Pro, 751A, 756, 756Pro, 756PorII, 756ProIII, 761, 765, 775DSP, 7800, 781, 821H, 910H, R-75.

This unit can be used for basic control of the R75.
Features
- Turn receiver on and off.
- Enter frequency directly to 1Hz. If your Receiver/Transceiver does not support frequency entry to 1Hz, you can still enter frequency to 10Hz or 100Hz in the range of 30kHz to 30MHz.
- Increase or decrease frequency using CH +/- in steps of 1Hz, 10Hz, 100Hz, 1kHz, 5kHz, 9kHz, 10kHz, 100kHz, and 1MHz in the range of 30kHz to 30MHz.
- Set up to five (5) User Tuning Steps. Useful for detuning frequencies by one half of filter bandwidth or use a very small frequency step to quickly zero-beat in SSB mode.
- Recall last directly entered frequency.
- Directly select memory channels.
- Move up and down through memory channels using CH +/-.
- Start and Stop programmed and memory scans.
- Move memory frequency and mode to VFO.
- Write VFO frequency and mode to currently selected memory.
- Toggle between AM, LSB, USB, FM (configurable), and CW (configurable).
- Select filter.
- Select VFO or Memory mode.
- Connect to a computer RS-232C port with optional SWL IR Remote Level Converter.
- Settable parameters:
- CI-V address.
- Radio baud rate (1200, 4800, 9600, or 19200).
- Enable/Disable FM and CW modes in mode selections.
- Frequency pacing. You can control the pacing of frequency up and down. This is how fast the frequency changes when you hold the CH+/- keys.
- Define up to five User Tuning Steps.
- Communications rate (4800, 9600, or 19200) of RS-232C Level Converter option.
- Status LED that shows communications status, settable parameter entry, and clear key operation.
